This is the time of year that we spend a lot of time reflecting on the year that has past and planning the year to come. As I look at back at the year I see all of the things we accomplished and think, “Wow! How did we manage to get all of that done?!” The answer is always…with help from our amazing volunteers and fellow staff members!

We are a small, somewhat rag-tag group here at the GTM Research Reserve and during this time of reflection, I am extremely thankful that I get to work with all of them! There is a saying, “Friends are the family you get to choose.” Well, I am so grateful that I get to call the great people I work with- both staff and volunteers- my friends! I am thankful to get to work in a place that values relationships between people.
